From working in the Radio advertising industry, I soon discovered that there are a lot of small business enterprises, usually run by a husband and wife team, and they are passionate about their businesses.

It is part of them and their family. And when dealing with them you always had to take this into account. I felt I became part of them through developing a relationship with them. We have many great web design examples for these types of clients.

A natural progression for my career is now harnessing the power of the Internet, through Web Genius, to promote these companies.

They all know that the Internet is the way of the future and they are all looking for the most cost effective way of expanding and promoting their businesses. And I love being part of their success, through Web Genius, and the web design software and systems that have been developed over the past decade.

A little bit about myself

Started life on the West Coast of the South Island, Educated in Christchurch, then worked in many centres around New Zealand for NZPO, then Telecom. In 1990, started work for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, installing and servicing IT equipment in Embassies around the world. I was based in London for 10 years and travelled extensively.

Upon returning to NZ, I moved career path away from machines to people, and started in the Real estate industry. I had a great time and met some great people. Many are still friends today. It’s all to do with relationship building.

With the long hours and a new marriage, a move to a Monday to Friday job was called for and took up selling radio advertising for a local community radio station. When I heard about the possibility of working for Web Genius, I jumped at the chance as the Company has a great reputation and a high ethical and progressive ethos.

I have two grown up daughters, no grandchildren except for 2 Yorkshire terriers.

I am an active member of Paraparaumu Rotary. Hobbies include gardening, cooking, model engineering, and bad golf.

I am backed up by the Web Genius team - based on the Kapiti Coast - who handle all the website and video production, as well as the implementation of web marketing strategies.
